316Ti (1.4571)

316 quality stainless steel is a material quality obtained by adding molybdenum and more nickel into 304 quality stainless steel. Thanks to this content, the corrosion resistance of 316 quality materials is very good even in harsh conditions (seawater, acidic liquids, etc.). Furthermore, the ultimate strength of 316 quality materials is much higher than that of 304 quality materials.   316Ti is the addition of titanium into 316 quality stainless steel. If the material is exposed to high temperatures from 550 to 800 ° C for a long time, use 316Ti (1.4571) grade stainless steel. 316Ti stainless steels contain low amounts of titanium. This rate is usually 0.5%. 316Ti grade stainless steels have a longer life time than 304 or 316 stainless steel grades.

Grading Quality Characteristics

General features Point

Corrosion Resistance: The corrosion resistance of this material is quite good. In harder conditions, duplex (1.4462) quality material can be preferred.
Mechanical Properties: 316Ti quality material has similar mechanical properties to 304 and 304L quality material. For higher ground strength, 431, duplex (1.4462) or 630 (1.4542 PH17.4) may be preferred.
Vulnerability to be beaten: This quality stainless steel has a low beatingability. Titanium and other elements may cause the material to break or crack at the moment of being hit.
Weldability: The weldability of this quality stainless is good, contrary to what is believed. The lower carbon-containing version 316L of the same quality can be preferred in places where a higher rate of welding will be made.
Machinability of: 316Ti quality western materials are sold by our company and then it is provided to have a better workability by being subjected to various processes. In order to make the workability easier, where lower corrosion resistance is acceptable, 303 or 430F grade stainless steel products can be preferred.
NOTE: Scores are indicated on 5 and are intended to facilitate understanding of the nature of the material. It is only intended to make comparisons between qualities without relying on any value.

Usage areas

316 quality stainless steel group is very wide range of materials. For example; Stainless steel materials are often used in the tanks and storage tanks of corrosive liquids, chemical and petrochemical industries, steam boilers, paint industry, food plants and mining in grades 316 and quality.

Summary of Quality Characteristics

316Ti stainless is numbered 1.4571 quality stainless according to EN standard.

316Ti grade stainless is also called X6CrNiMo17-12-2 according to EN standard.

316Ti quality stainless is an increasingly high quality stainless steel grade, but its use is not as common as 316 and 316L grade stainless.

This quality is of the stainless steel grade.

The weldability of this stainless steel quality is good but not suitable for pounding.

Stainless steel of this quality does not attract magnets and has a high corrosion resistance.

316Ti stainless is a stainless steel grade which is resistant to friction due to the titanium it contains.

Corrosion resistance of 316Ti quality stainless steel is better than 304 quality stainless steel.
