310 (1.4845)

310 quality stainless steel is one of the most durable materials between stainless steel and heat and high temperature. Thanks to the high chromium (Cr) and Nickel (Ni) alloys in the material, this stainless steel quality has a very good corrosion resistance even at high temperatures. 310 stainless is able to withstand even temperatures up to 1100C in continuous use. Three different versions of 310 grade stainless steel are available. These are 310, 310S and 310H grades. The main difference between these three versions is the amount of carbon they contain. These three versions of 310 quality can be summarized as follows.

Grading Quality Characteristics

General features Point

Explanation

Corrosion Resistance: The material has very good corrosion resistance even at temperatures above 1000 degrees. The maximum usage temperature of the material is 1100 degrees.
Mechanical Properties: The material can maintain its mechanical properties even at high temperatures.
Vulnerability to be beaten:
Weldability: Good weldability of the material. 310 quality materials in our company, especially because of their low carbon, they have a better weldability than standard 310 grades.
Machinability of: The material is specially softened for good processing and 310 quality materials in our company can be processed more easily than similar ones.
NOTE: Scores are indicated on 5 and are intended to facilitate understanding of the nature of the material. It is only intended to make comparisons between qualities without relying on any value.

Usage areas

This stainless steel grade is widely used in the chemical industry, in the machine industry. In addition, glass and glass manufacturing industry is used in various apparatus and tools.

310 stainless steel is frequently used in quarries, mines, furnaces and boilers with high temperatures. Another area where 310 stainless steel is used is the aluminum and bronze molds.

In short, 310 (1.4845) stainless steel can be used almost anywhere where high temperature is required and good corrosion resistance is required.

Corrosion Resistance of 310 Stainless

We can summarize the resistance of 310 stainless steel to continuous use in different environments.

In the oxygenation atmosphere: ~ 1100 ° C
- Sulfurous Oxidation: ~ 1000 ° C
-Surification Reduction: ~ 1000 ° C
- Reduction of sulfur: ~ 750 ° C

Note: Under no circumstances should the product exceed 310 ° C. 1100 ° C is the last limit of this material and, if possible, it is recommended that the material is run at the final limit. The resistance of the material to the temperature can vary depending on the environment in which it is made and on the surface of the material.

Summary of Quality Characteristics

It is numbered 1.4845 quality stainless according to 310 stainless EN standard.

310 grade stainless is also called X8CrNi25-21 according to EN standard.

This stainless steel quality is the most common stainless steel quality used at high temperatures.

The 310 grade material in our company has an average carbon content of 0.060% C and has the amount of carbon to contain in all three of the 310, 310S and 310H materials.

Production of Ugitech factory in our company 1.4845 (310) quality materials, has a good corrosion resistance even at temperatures of 1100 ° C.

Stainless steel of this quality does not attract magnets and has a very good corrosion resistance.

310 Quality Stainless Steel Alternatives
QUALITY In which cases can this quality be preferred instead of 310 quality stainless?
309 (1.4828) - 309S (1.4833) 310 stainless, 1100 ° C can work. 309 stainless material can withstand lower temperatures. If the temperature is not too high, 309 quality stainless material may be preferred because the price is more suitable.
310S (1.4845) This material is a less carbon version of 310 quality material. The material contains less carbon than standard 310 quality and thus has a better corrosion resistance than standard 310 quality. 310 quality materials sold in our company have limits on the amount of carbon required to contain 310S quality material and show a better corrosion resistance than standard 310 quality material at high temperatures.
310H (1.4845) This material is a version of 310 quality material with a carbon ratio of 0.040% <C <0.100%.The material contains less carbon than standard 310 quality and thus has a better corrosion resistance than standard 310 quality. 310 quality materials sold in our company have a limit of the amount of carbon required to contain 310H quality material and show a better corrosion resistance than the standard 310 quality material at high temperatures.
314 (1.4841) This quality material, our company sold 310 quality stainless material is very similar. It has a slightly better temperature resistance than 310 quality. 314 quality material is not widespread in terms of availability. 314 quality can withstand higher temperatures between 30-50 ° C according to standard 310 quality material.
